Our Story

SAP is an acronym for my wife, Sue, and Phil (me).
Over the decades I have hand crafted various items and pieces of furniture for our personal use, even creating a marble-topped Mahogany coffee and side table whilst working in Saudi Arabia. Three years ago we moved to Moonee Beach where I now have space, and with a job change, the time to set up a workshop in our garage to create and sell timber products made from local Australian hardwoods.
I create quality chopping, serving boards, and tables from locally sourced Australian hardwoods which I sell through custom orders, Etsy (one of our Victorian Ash boards is now happily living in New York City), this website, and local markets, mainly the Bellingen Community Markets where we have been a regular for almost 2 years.
Nothing is mass-produced and every board is unique being hand crafted. If I’m not creating a custom piece for someone, I’m designing boards and tables using different timbers, edge profiles, and features such as distinctive handles.
